Rokuyo
🗓️ Rokuyo — Japan’s Six-Day Cycle
Rokuyo is a set of six labels from the Japanese lunisolar calendar — Senshō, Tomobiki, Senbu, Butsumetsu, Taian and Shakkō — that cycle in order. They have long been consulted when choosing dates for weddings and ceremonies.

What is Rokuyo?
Rokuyo is determined mechanically from the month and day of the Japanese lunisolar calendar; it spread on printed calendars from the Meiji era. This site derives the lunar date from the astronomically computed new moon and applies the traditional rule.
